Across a thirty (30) year corporate career, David has acquired industry specific knowledge in diversified manufacturing, life sciences, real estate development, financial services, venture capital and consulting services. He has led strategy formulation for more than 50 individual businesses ranging in size from zero revenue to over $2 billion. David’s line responsibilities have included VP, GM roles, VP Corporate Strategy, EVP Marketing Sales and Strategy, Global VP Sales and Marketing, Director of Corporate Investments, and Manager of Engineering & Plant Operations. As member of the senior leadership team in industry leading companies, he has held profit & loss responsibility across a wide variety of business circumstances.
David’s for-profit board experience includes service on public company boards (First National Bank, NYSE: FNB, Koppers, NYSE: KOP) and private company boards (Armada, ALung, Forest Devices). He serves in a variety of leadership positions on those boards including Lead Director and Committee Chair (Nom Gov, Audit, Compensation, and Risk)
David has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and MBA from the Harvard Business School. He was awarded Distinguished Alumnus status from the University of Pittsburgh Swanson School of Engineering, a recognition given to less than one percent of graduates.
Thomas has over twenty-five (25) years of progressive experience in program management, business development, proposal development and marketing in the information technology, telecommunications and engineering fields.
Prior to MCAPS, Thomas was Vice President, Operations at a $15+M small business for over thirteen (13) years where his responsibilities were primarily related to business development, proposals, delivery, support and profitability of IT, telecommunications and business professional services to clients in the Federal Government Market. Also, his experience includes over ten (10) years with AT&T primarily as a Program Manager where he managed and directed telecommunications programs during the pre-sale and post-sale phases in the Federal Government Market. In addition, Thomas spent almost five (5) years as a Project Engineer with a Goodyear Corporation wholly owned subsidiary that was an operating contractor supporting the Department of Energy. Engineering experience includes providing technical support services in areas of project design, procurement, and construction associated with major and minor construction modifications in a multi-project environment.
Thomas has a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and MBA from the University of Pittsburgh.
